Breakfast is Important!

Breakfast is an essential part of the school day.  Students who eat breakfast come to school, ready to learn.  Many students visit the nurse's office with stomachaches and headaches, related to not eating breakfast.  Please read the attached link from Nemours, explaining the importance of breakfast and offering simple breakfast ideas.

Food Allergy Awareness

Many students attending our school have food allergies, especially to peanuts, tree nuts (like walnuts, pecans, and almonds) milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish. Students who have food allergies need all of us to help keep them safe. You can read more about food allergies at www.faankids.org.

Requirements for Next School Year - Just a reminder for your summer to-do list.....

6th grade - Physical examination

7th grade - Dental examination, Required immunizations: Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) AND meningitis vaccine, PIAA physical for sports

8th grade - PIAA physical for sports

Any Grade, New students to the State of Pennsylvania:  Physical examination AND Dental examination, Updated Emergency Plans for students with life-threatening allergies, Forms for any of these requirements can be downloaded from the CFPMS website
